There are a lot of business owners that want a share of the consumers that cruise the Internet Super Highway. But they don't understand what it takes to make an Internet Business Successful. Most still think that all you have to do is post a website on the Internet and it will be successful. They need to wake up! It is a statistical fact that 64% of all online businesses fail within the first 6 months. The growth and change in the Internet since its earliest days, is incredible. The changes in the Internet come in various forms such as:
* Complexity - Ranging from informational sites to elaborate ecommerce sites with flash graphics, hyper links, reciprocal links, keywords, HTML codes, etc. You get the idea.
* Competition - There are literally hundreds to millions of online businesses that offer the same or like products, services, and /or information. All of these businesses are competing for the vast number of consumers that are shopping for these same products, services and/or information.

It requires 4 main components: (1) A Good Product (2) A Fair Price (3) A Good Web Site (4) Quality Traffic that when put together looks like this:

At this point some Business Owners are saying, "My online business has all of those things and it is not successful ($$$$)." But does your online business really have all those things or does your online business just have a product, a price, a web site, and traffic. To better understand what the differences are lets take a closer look at each of the components.
1. A Good Product - A product, service, or information that is in demand by a reasonable number of people in the marketplace who are interested in it. Just because a product, service, informational subject looks or sounds good does not necessarily mean that there is a demand for it. The bottom line is if it sells in the real world it can be sold on the Internet.
2. A Fair Price - A price that means selling or offering your product, service, and/or information within a price range that most people find fair and reasonable. This does not mean the lowest price on the Internet. It means a price that people are willing to pay for that product, service, or information.
3. A Good Web Site - This is the most complex components of the formula. A web site is the sum of many factors (i. e., URLs, hosting, text, graphics, keywords, technical matters, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Data/Statistics, products, services, or information, and other essential and non-essential elements. Some say that all this and a professional looking site make A Good Web Site. The bottom line here is, A Good Web Site is a web site that closes sales. This doesn't mean that a web site looks good, has all the bells & whistles, or cost a fortune. It means a web site that is effective regardless of how much it cost, how many elements it has, or how elaborate the design. People are committing to what your website offers. Keep in mind, it is very unlikely that your web site will be fully optimized to close sales right out of the gate, testing, dialing it in, and optimization are needed to get it to that point.
4. Quality Traffic - Cyber space traffic to a web site is online visitors that click on your web site. The difference in traffic and Quality Traffic to a web site is that the online visitors clicking on your web site come there with the intention of purchasing whatever it is your website offers. ** This component is the most difficult for the majority of web site owners to obtain. Building traffic, especially Quality Traffic, like all worthwhile activities, it is a process. However, it is easy to do if you have the right strategies and techniques to do it.
