What is Quality Traffic and Why it is Important?

How many of you have computers?  I am sure that practically all the homes today have a computer for business or family and most home have computers for both.
How many of you have used the Internet to search for things that you wanted?  Millions of people everyday are using the Internet to search for information, products, services, directions and much more.

How many business owners in today’s highly competitive market have a business website?  People in todays world, expect businesses to have a website and most businesses do.

Having said that, how many of you would like a competitive edge for your online Business?  That means bringing more people to your business web site and having more customers than your competitor.  What online businesses commonly refer to as, “Quality Traffic“.

Quality Traffic is one of the main ingredients in the formula, “What it takes to make a Successful Internet Business” The four main ingredients of a Successful Internet Business are: (1) a good product or service (2) $$ a fair price (3) a good web site (4) quality traffic.

Good Product + Fair Price + Good Web Site + Quality Traffic = $$$$

Quality Traffic is exactly what Internet Businesses are competing for online.  In simpler terms, businesses are competing for customers or clients online.  Online businesses have people that visit their web site and these visitors that go to your web site are referred to as traffic.
Online traffic breaks down to:

• Those that are just surfing the web and happen to visit your site.
• Those that just want to look at what it is you are offering.
• Finally, those that come to your site with the intention of purchasing your product or service that you offer.  These visitors that are purchasing your goods or services, we call Quality Traffic.

How do you create traffic for your web site?  You can use an advertising campaign, by paying for ads on TV, on the Radio, in the newspaper, flyers etc. All of these ways are very expensive, are only temporary and there is no guarantee that they will send traffic to your web site.  The most popular ways that online business owners use to drive traffic, especially qualified traffic, to their site are:
1.)  The first way is by, “Word of mouth.”  Tell someone or a bunch of people (i.e. friends, family, people you meet, a business network) to go to the site.  They might tell someone if they remember or have a reason too.  That usually is not very effective and doesn’t send a lot of traffic, especially qualified traffic to the site.
2.)  The second way is by, using the Internet to drive traffic to your site.  Or what we now refer, as Internet Marketing.
Everyday millions of people are using the Internet to search for specific products and/or services, with the intention of buying.  We want to make sure that most if not all this Quality Traffic goes to your business website.

All successful online businesses use various techniques and methods to drive traffic to their site.  There are far too many techniques and methods to mention here, so let’s take a couple of the most commonly used methods.  One of the most often used methods, is accomplished by either paying some Internet Search Engine or Internet Directory to post your site (pay per click-PPC) in their sponsored listings.  These listings appear at the top of the search results that appear on the computer screens of people that are searching for specific products and/or services.  But these sponsored listings can be very costly and they don’t guarantee that Quality Traffic will choose to visit your site.
You can also use some inexpensive and quite often free, tried & true proven Internet techniques & methods to drive Quality Traffic to your site.  Keep in mind that Quality Traffic is customers or clients searching for your product and/or service.  Also bear in mind that not all traffic that goes to your web site is qualified traffic.  And you will only have traffic if someone is able to find your web site.  Hey that’s what it is all about the bottom line to any business is to increase profit through increased income.  You do that by increasing the number of clients or customers you serve.  To an online business Quality Traffic means paying customers or clients.
So, if you want to be a successful online business you need Quality Traffic.  Or in other words more online customers / clients going to your business web site that are ready to purchase or commit now.  Just remember that Quality Traffic is one of the key ingredients for a successful online business.
No single technique, by itself, will bring your website quality traffic. It is a combination of ethical techniques and time, that will build your online businesses reputation and create trust with your clients or customers.
